A lot of us spend a good amount of time running to and from things, and often without any direction. We even find ourselves running from the very person that can help us.
Galatians 5:7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
Yes, some of us run from the truth. when we should be running to Jesus who is our shelter from the storms of life. When you have problems, listen closely to what Jesus had to say:
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
The only way that this can be accomplished is to run to Him. When the prodigal son finally came to his senses, he went home and his father ran out to receive him (Luke 15:11-32). This is what we can expect from our Savior.
Don’t be a spiritual runaway, but if you are, remember you have someone to run back home to in Christ because we serve a forgiving God.
Are ready to stop running? Once we realize that God can see us no matter where we run and depend on Him our lives will be better because he is the author and finisher of our faith (Heb 12:2) Amen.
