God’s Not Dead: “In God We Trust” – Be The Change

With the advent of the newest installment of the God’s Not Dead movie franchise, “In God We Trust,” coming to theaters on Thursday, September 12th, 2024, for a limited release, Christians are confronted with a significant reason as to why our country is falling further away from its original Christian foundation.

The movie’s primary message to all Christians is to get involved. If we don’t like what we see going on in our cities, states, and nation, we must actively work to change the culture and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ everywhere possible, including politics.

Hosea 4:6
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

As Christians, we’re responsible for sharing the Gospel of God’s Word and doing our best to support and encourage a country that guarantees that the Word of God is always free to be practiced and spoken without restraint. If we don’t, the wisdom and knowledge of Christ slowly become silenced by those who despise a Holy God.

Daniel 2:21
“And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:”

It’s understood that the Presidents, Senators, Congressmen, Governors, Mayors, and so on are given to us by God, and that is true; however, what is rarely mentioned is that after God, in America, who are the Kings and rulers of this land? It’s the PEOPLE! We aren’t to be ruled by men in representative positions; the PEOPLE of America have the final say on what happens in their nation.

One startling statistic that the movie reveals to us is that at least forty million self-proclaiming Christians don’t vote in elections, and another fifteen million aren’t even registered to vote. That’s a total of fifty-five million Christians not participating in what course our nation takes.

Proverbs 29:2
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

Keep in mind that the above stats only deal with voting; what about our active participation in other aspects of spreading and encouraging the truth and wisdom of God’s Word to our fellow man?

So many Christians have been trained not to bring our faith into politics that many are convinced that it’s the way God and our nation’s founding principles intended it to be when it’s the furthest thing from the truth.

Here are a few quotes from the Founding Fathers of America about how important Jesus Christ was in their lives and the Lord’s active role in their actions.

George Washington
1st U.S. President

“While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian.”
–The Writings of Washington, pp. 342-343.

Some of Washington’s daily prayers clearly show His love and need for Jesus Christ and His divine providence. Here are some more of George Washington’s Prayers – Written At Age 20 In His Prayer Journal In 1752

James Madison
4th U.S. President

“A watchful eye must be kept on ourselves lest while we are building ideal monuments of Renown and Bliss here we neglect to have our names enrolled in the Annals of Heaven.”
–Written to William Bradford on November 9th, 1772, Faith of Our Founding Fathers by Tim LaHaye, pp. 130-131; Christianity and the Constitution — The Faith of Our Founding Fathers by John Eidsmoe, p. 98.

Patrick Henry
Ratifier of the U.S. Constitution

“It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here.”
–The Trumpet Voice of Freedom: Patrick Henry of Virginia, p. iii.

“The Bible … is a book worth more than all the other books that were ever printed.”
–Sketches of the Life and Character of Patrick Henry, p. 402.

We’ve been given the blessing and gift of living in a country that allows us to live out our faith in Jesus Christ freely. If we disregard our responsibility to stand for Christ in all things, including politics, as history has shown, the liberties we now enjoy can and will be lost. If we want to live in a country that abides by God’s truth and not man’s, we must actively be the change and stand firm for Jesus Christ!

Proverbs 14:34
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

    • Hello, Keith.

      Thank you, sir.

That’s the thing: more than 1200 people are running for President in the USA. Yet, no one knows about them or even has a clue. Christians have choices, but we have to dig to find them because Lamestream media isn’t going to promote or tell us about them.
