This is a wonderful, uplifting, and inspiring Christian movie that came out in 2012. Gabriel is played by a new young actor named Gavin Casalegno. John Schneider plays the town’s doctor and realizes how special Gabe is. The sheriff is played by Dean Cain, and is very suspicious of Gabe; so he tries to keep a close eye on him. The original story is by Neal Odom.
The movie is Written, Produced, and Directed by Mike Norris and Valerie Norris is a Producer, also. This movie is Not Rated, but I feel it should be a PG-13 because of a few scenes. Parents should watch it before they let younger children watch. It has a wonderful, Christian message, but some of the situations are difficult.
The perfect verse for this movie is Matthew 19:26 (NKJV)—But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Gabriel is a young messenger of God and is sent to a little town named Promise, Texas. The people of Promise have lost all hope. There was a special reason why God sent a young boy to help this town. Everyone who meets him notice that he is strange and special at the same time. Miracles happen and people start feeling better about their circumstances. Gabe is always telling them that it is not him doing it, and that they should not be worshiping him. The movie has a powerful message on what God can do through a couple people to make a great impact on other’s lives. The importance of prayer is also stressed throughout this movie. I enjoyed this movie and have watched it many times.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)—if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
