Yet the time is coming, and is now here, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. Indeed, the Father is looking for people like that to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. (John 4:23-24)
Kari Jobe, displays the love that God has for worship every time she worships personally or leads in public worship. The Lord opens the heavens and pours out His presence, as this gifted and passionate worshipper of God exalts the Almighty in spirit and truth. The Lord looks up and down the earth looking for those who will touch his heart with wholehearted and surrendered worship. Every time Kari worships the Lord’s eyes are on her because she worships the Lord in pure spirit and total truth.
Kari began singing at the tender age of three years old and came to a saving knowledge of Jesus at five years old. The Lord touched Kari’s heart at a very young age with the importance of worshipping him and exalting His name above all else. She developed a conversational prayer style at 10 years old which taught her to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and to listen to what God was telling her heart. That sensitivity to the Lord has blossomed into a prophetic ministry for Kari growing as she has grown in the Lord. Prophecy and worship go hand in hand as believers open their hearts to the Lord He talks to them through prophecy as He inhabits the praise and worship of His people.
She reveals her sensitive heart toward the Lord during her worship ministry time, she shares that she hears the Lord throughout her ministry time and God prophetically instructs her where he wants the ministry to go as she ministers to the Lord in worship with other believers. The Lord says lift your hands she tells the community of believers lift your hands. Is that sensitivity or what?
Kari started traveling at the age of 16 with worship teams than progressing to leading worship at the age of 20. By the time Kari was 24 she had become the worship Pastor at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas a position she still holds. Kari has been involved in worship all her life; she not only is the Worship Pastor at the church she is also a highly gifted and recognized worshiper leader in Christian Music today. God has richly blessed her career. She has won 2 Dove awards and was nominated for a third. She has also garnered a Grammy award for her worship music.
Kari exhorts the Body of Christ worldwide, to seek understanding from the Lord and to experience the depths of God’s love. Kari’s heart resonates as the Apostle Paul’s heart did for people to know the deep love of God:
May have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:18-19.
The nations have been touched by Kari’s passion to reach God’s heart in worship becoming one with Him in spirit and truth. I remember watching a TBN “Praise the Lord” where Kari was the guest worship leader. I sensed the presence of God so strong in her singing like I have never sensed from any other worship leader.
