Women in Christian Music

Ephesians 4:11” Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.” The Lord gave the church these offices and they are filled by both men and women. So if this is the truth and it is it says so in this scripture; why is there so few Christian women bands and Christian women lead singers. Christian women artists have had very few number one hits in the music field. God has gifted women as much as he has gifted men with his anointed musical ability.

There seems to be the perception that women artists are to fulfill the role of “mom” in the home and that traveling for long periods of time for concerts would be more difficult than if “dad” was on the road for months on end. True mom plays a vital and central role in the family and needs to be home to raise and nurture the children. But if God has called her to the music field and to travel for extended periods of time to tour then will God not work out the details of the family life?

Luke 1:37”For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke tells us that nothing is impossible with God. He is speaking to the Body of Christ and telling her we need to open our eyes and our ears to the new move of His Spirit in this day that he is raising up female Christian artists and female Christian bands to minister to the Body Of Christ.God using their gifts and talents to share his musical artistry with all of us. So let’s look forward to the Lord raising up our sisters in the Christian music field.These women will be leading us in worshiping the Lord around the world; sharing the limelight with their male counterparts
