Matthew 1:23 -Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
We’ve all heard and read this passage countless times. Throughout the entire universe this passage is perhaps the most widely familiar, especially during the season of His coming to earth, when the Light came into the world, for us, and our salvation.
This verse and this miraculous birth have been told for over two thousand years and predicted way before His birth in the Old Testament. Therefore, the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14).
When we take the time to absorb this spectacular and life affirming moment in time, we as mere mortals cannot fully comprehend the overall manifestation of His love and sacrifice, for us!
When we speak about our faith and go to church and sing and pray about it, it is there in our belief, yes of course. But the immense overall message and actions of what Christ did for us, and how the Father sent His Son to earth for us can be overwhelming in a fantastic way if we allow it to caress the buds of our mind, and truly seep into every crevice of our brain.
What is it you say? This amazing powerful Son of God, the King of kings came to earth, to be part of the Greater Plan of Mankind for us? Huh? This Sovereign Being? A Magnificent Entity? This Perfect Unblemished Lamb of God came to save us? We who are sinners and at times devoured by our own carnal thoughts and actions, He came to save us? Yes! He loved us that much (John 3:16) and He wants us with Him that much. They all bowed down before the baby in the manger. The LIGHT of the WORLD is here! Amen.
Young and old alike were equally affected by His Presence. Those standing before Jesus fell to their knees in awe! Those who brought gifts for the King! All knew the Savior of the World was born to a young Virgin girl, Mary. In a stable the little King was in a manger filled with straw, surrounded by cows, mules and various other animals, this King of kings, LORD of lords, lay down (in more ways than one as He laid down His life for us) in this makeshift bed. And they all fell down to adore Him.
Psalm 72:11– Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
Matthew 2:11 -And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.
His mission on earth was to grow into manhood, bring sight to the blind, give hearing to the deaf, make the lame walk, raise the dead, provide love and comfort. Then to be led to “slaughter” the Perfect Lamb” and then rise after 3 days, redeem us, defeat death, and offer eternal life to those who believe.
He is seated at the right hand of the LORD, and HE WILL come again to judge the living and the dead, and His Kingdom will have NO end.
How do we give thanks for what He has done? How do we begin to even come within a smidgeon of what He has done for us? How?
We can honor Him by trying to emulate Him in all we do. We can accept Him as our LORD and Savior and walk and obey His commandments.
We can do all unto Him in each task we take on.
We can give Him all the glory always and forever, all the days of our lives and beyond.
And most important of all, we can LOVE HIM with all of our heart, body, mind, strength and soul, today and forever.
As we celebrate the Savior this season, let’s keep Him in our hearts and do all things every day of the year in service to the One and Only KING, the LORD Jesus Christ.
Merry Christ-mas everyone, God Bless.
“Father, have I thanked You recently for Your love, and for Your Son, may I always be in service to You, I adore You and worship You and love You, today and always, in Jesus’ name, Amen”
‘And they fell down and worshiped Him.’ May we emulate their adoring attitude and fall on our knees to give humble adoration to the King of King and Lord of LORDS. Thank you Camille, for this beautiful contribution
pointing our focus away from ourselves and back to Jesus.
Thank you, Jennifer,
Hope you are having a Happy and Blessed Christmas.
May God’s light continue to shine forth through you in all you do and endeavor in His name.
Take good care.
God Bless~
