With all the good things about artificial intelligence(AI), there is a spiritually dark side to it. There is a Church of AI that sees AI as a diety and source of salvation, with God-like qualities at some point in time.
The Church of AI says there is no God, nor biblical truth. AI is moving in the direction of doing away with all of what God has created. It thinks there is a better way. However, First Corinthians 3:18-19 says, “Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is folly with God…the Lord knows the thoughts of the wise that they are futile.”
All the “wisdom” (if AI can be called wisdom) of this world does not compare with “the hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory”(First Corinthians 2:7-8). “For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” (I Corinthians 1:18).
Jesus died for souls that need to be saved through his grace, not through man-made inventions. Anyone who is deceived through the Church of AI will not experience forgiveness of sin nor salvation. Colossians 2:8 says, “See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy or empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of this world, and not according to Christ.”
Those who are developing AI with the goal of becoming like God will be accountable to the God they are seeking to replace. They have chosen to worship humanity’s creation instead of acknowledging the God of creation. Romans 1:18 says, “The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.”
Add to all of this technological singularity. That is when AI and computers will advance beyond human control, but God is in control as to how far he will allow humanity to advance in its quest to replace him.
CHOOSE THE REAL SAVIOR. DON’T BE DECEIVED BY AI.
