Be Fearless in Battle

There are brave men out there and there are cowardly men. However, let’s talk horses! Now, I can only speak from personal observation, but I have never known of a horse to be a coward. You can take the weakest man and put him on a horse, and that horse will run into battle with him, even if it means his own death. Why? Because he’s a horse and he was made that way by the Creator. Isn’t it no wonder that the Bible speaks of us going into battle with Him on white stallions?

Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Fear Not

Do you realize that there is only one thing in all of existence that we should fear, and that is our Lord. In fact, the Holy Bible tells us not to fear that which can kill our body, but rather Him that has the power to destroy both body and soul in hell (Matt 10:28). Now that is quite the statement, but it’s absolutely true. What can be taken from us? Our life? Wait, our Savior conquered death and created a pathway to spend eternity with Him (Hosea 13:14, Rev 1:18). Even if we lose our life for our faith, we have actually gained. You see, it is my belief that God made such a promise to us because WE MUST BE FEARLESS and not hold back if we want to change the world around us. Complacency becomes our enemy, but only if we choose to set back while others become heroes.

Greater is He

One of the totally awesome things about God is He doesn’t just roll with us, but He rolls in us. We’re not left alone to take on the enemy. Let’s take a look at what is one of my favorite verses in the Holy Bible…

1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Of course we all know who is in the world. In fact, Satan is known as the god of this world (2 Cor 4:4). If we sit back and think about it, is this really saying much? What does this world have that is greater than the gift of salvation and a ticket to spend eternity with our Lord? Absolutely nothing!

Matt 16:26-27 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Care Beyond Measure

Do you realize God loves you immensely? He doesn’t want you to live a dull, boring life and cares if something terrible happens to you or someone you love. We don’t always understand why God allows certain things to happen, but we do know that all things work towards God’s glory, and those who are called according to His purpose (Rom 8:28).

Something that must be said about God is He loves His creation. He designed everything with purpose, and even cares if a sparrow falls (Matt 10:29). Nothing happens without His knowing. He even reveals the future to us sometimes, and it is a good one for those who follow the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

1 Thes 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Final Thought

Friends, if you have Jesus, you can be fearless in battle. The enemy can’t take anything from you that God can’t give back and multiply. Because of this, I would encourage you to share His precious word with others and not be intimidated by the enemy and his pathetic schemes. For those who may not know the Lord, I would encourage you to start a personal relationship with Him today. This is what He wants for all of us, and you can have it too. If you need help with this decision, we would be glad to help. Just visit our Romans Road to Salvation page. Thank you for reading and God bless.

What are the fears you have in life? How can you fight back using God’s word?

  1. This is powerful and encouraging to ever believer, no matter our nature and character, God has to make the needed changes in us to be useful instruments in reaching out to others.
You are right about a complacent attitude for this is not of God and we do not benefit from it nor do others. It pleases our enemy when we remain silent for he hates God’s truth being shared. This is what causes him to flee for he cannot stand against it.
Thank you Joel for being used of God to give us these truths. It is a call to awaken from being idle and serving the Living God.
