In the vast expanse of eternity, before time began and galaxies spun into existence, God had a plan—a magnificent, intricate design that would unfold across the ages. Delving into this Divine plan of the LORD’s, that were woven with threads of love, purpose, and redemption by our Creator-The One and only God.
The Beginning: God’s Creative Act
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1) These opening words of Scripture reveal the origin of all things. Before time, space, and matter, God existed—unchanging, eternal, and full of love. His creative act birthed the cosmos, setting the stage for His grand narrative, and all the complexities of life and all creation big and small.
Love Before Creation
Jesus Himself spoke of love existing “before the creation of the world” (John 17:24) Within the Godhead—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—love flowed ceaselessly. Love, by its very nature, seeks the well-being of others. God’s love was not self-focused; it was communal, sacrificial, and eternal.
The Gospel of John beautifully encapsulates the essence of Christ’s mission: “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:17 KJV). The significance of Christ’s incarnation, His sacrificial love, and the transformative power of salvation, all part of God’s plan. Salvation’s hem touched the earth, bridging heaven and fallen humanity. The empty tomb shimmered with resurrection glory. Death’s shroud unraveled. Christ’s victory spun threads of eternal life.
The Unfolding Plan
God’s plan transcends human comprehension, yet its simplicity lies in its purpose—to redeem and restore. In reflection, we can unravel the threads of grace that weave through creation, history, and our hearts.
- In a humble stable, Divinity met humanity. Jesus, the Word made flesh, threaded eternity into time.
- His life, teachings, and miracles wove grace into our brokenness.
Morals and Ethics
- God’s moral framework—rooted in love—guides our choices. The Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17) exemplify His standards. As Christians, we seek justice, mercy, and humility (Micah 6:8). Our ethics reflect God’s character.
Christianity & Politics
- Christians engage with politics, societal norms, seek justice and righteousness. We honor authority (Romans 13:1) while prioritizing God’s Kingdom. Our involvement should be salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16), transforming society. And understanding God is the head of it all.
Meditative Questions
- How does God’s love shape your actions?
- How can you impact your community positively, guided by God’s principles?
Our Journey’s End
Life’s journey leads to eternity. We face mortality yet hope awaits. Jesus promised, “I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2,). Our destination? A heavenly home, where tears cease, and joy reigns. May God’s plan continue to unfold in your life, guiding you toward His glorious purpose for all you do, according to His will.
“Dear LORD, thank You for Your eternal plan. May we walk in love, honor You in all we do and live ethically. As we journey toward eternity, grant us wisdom and courage. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
