The New Years are filled with craziness and an urge to make changes for the following year with resolutions.
Work out more, lose weight, eat healthier, work harder at school/my job, spend more time doing things I love, Improving certain skills.
As the New Years come along and resolutions are fun and exciting, I always try to think of ways to spice up my resolutions, keep them exciting to last the year but this year, thinking on my previous resolutions, I have made only one.
The only one I have is to read my Bible more. That is my only resolution because really, I don’t see the point of having so many. Sometimes maybe one is better, especially when it comes to something as important as ones spiritual life
This year, I want to grow closer to God and really just focus on learning to live for Christ and doing what God wants as the New Year starts up again. Whether or not this is your resolution for the year of 2015, I want to encourage you to really just focus. Is there areas in your spiritual life that need improving? Something more that you want to do?
I was listening to a song by forKING&COUNTRY titled ‘Proof of Love’ and in the music video, they recite the scripture 1 Corinthians 13: 1-13 and the lyrics of the song itself say, ‘Let my life be the proof of your love.’ and I have set this song as a reminder for my year of 2015.
A constant reminder to let my life be a proof of God’s love.
What are your resolutions? Do you have an resolutions that help strengthen your relationship with Christ?
Adriana, I really liked the song, thank you! I had to share on FB. Are you on FB? Very cool and powerful song. I’ve decided that my resolution is also to read the Bible more, deeper, and daily. I’m with ya sister.
