Just the fact that He is God is a wonder to behold! He exists outside of time and space. He exists within time and space. He knows the beginning from the end. He knows what will happen before it happens. He is in eternity. He is the Alpha and Omega (the beginning and the end.) Without Him we cannot breathe and nothing is able to live. We exist for Him, through Him and in Him.
He easily created the world and the cosmos simply by His Word. He said “Let there be”… and there was… He is God who loves from eternity past and into the eternity future. His love is so wonderful we cannot explain it or understand it. Yet we can experience it. Love that Paul the apostle said:
And to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:19
Imagine His love that we cannot understand but He has lavishly poured out on us. Jesus Christ dying on the cross is a classic example of God’s love and His wonder. Another wonder to contemplate God dying for man. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? God raised the dead, delivered the demon-possessed and made the crippled whole. In the New Covenant ushered in by Jesus’ death God comes to dwell within each of us who believe. What a wonder this is to know that a Holy God can come to reside in a fallen human being. God’s name means wonder. God’s thoughts and ways are so much higher than ours. He dwells in unapproachable light. But yet we can come boldly into His presence through Jesus Christ. A wonder beyond explanation. Someone becoming born again is to wonderful to explain.
You know that God still loving us and His desires to have fellowship with us. Makes me wonder what kind of love is this? We cursed Him, rejected Him and crucified Him on a cross. The most horrific death a human could ever suffer. He who knew no sin became sin that we might live. Even after all this pain /sorrow we caused Him He still loved us. This too is a wonder to think about.
Remember Paul the great Apostle? He was murdering and persecuting Christians and he would move from house to house trying to stamp out the church of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ knocked Paul off his horse when he appeared to Paul in His radiance. Paul became a Christian and championed the Christian faith more than any man in his time. Jesus turned him around and poured His love into Paul’s heart. What a wonder Paul’s transformation was. So once again I say God is a God of wonders.
