These will be four of the most powerful words we will ever hear or read in scripture. “God was with him.” Acts 10:38 ” how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” Today’s believer will realize that the living God is dwelling inside his spirit. What will happen when the Body of Christ catches this eternal reality? God will be able to manifest miraculous healings among the people of earth. Revival breaking out around the world. The church will be dictating to the world how life is going to be lived and how governments will truly serve the people they represent.
This verse taught us that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth first with the Holy Spirit then with power. The apostles knew they needed to be baptized in the Holy Spirit before they could move in the power that the Lord moved in when he ministered on earth. Jesus was able to go around doing good and heal all those who were oppressed by the devil because God was with him.
Jesus said that we would do greater works then he did. Peter on the day of Pentecost filled with the power of the Holy Spirit preached a sermon to all who were gathered in Jerusalem and they were cut to the heart by the power of God in his anointed words. Three thousand people were added to the Kingdom of God that day. This was a clear example of Peter doing a greater work than Jesus. God was with Peter and we saw the result of his sermon in the second chapter of Acts.
God is with us and the world will be turned upside down just as it was on the day of Pentecost.Let us move in the power and presence of God which richly dwells in us.
