God’s Plan Of Saving Grace

God’s plan of grace began before we were even born. Ephesians 1:4-6 says, “He chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will…”  Moving to verse 2:10 we read, “We are his workmanship, created by Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Next, God provided a way of salvation. “God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ- by grace we have been saved- and raised us up and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus”(Ephesians 2:4-7). We, “who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death…”(Colossians 1:21-22).

Because God gave himself for our sins, we have been delivered from the “present evil age”(Galatians 1:4). It was part of God’s plan to spare us from having to be a part of Satan’s evil world. “He delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son”(Colossians 1:13).

God knew from the beginning that we would be involved in a battle of good and evil, between the spiritual forces of light and darkness, so in order to enable us to live with victory over this present evil age, God’s plan of grace included giving us his Holy Spirit. “Because we are children of his, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts” (Galatians 4:6). Not only this, but his plan involved sealing us “with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory” (Ephesians 1:13-14).

So, what is our inheritance made possible by being sealed by the Holy Spirit? Philippians 3:20-21 says, “Our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body…”

God knew from the beginning of time that you and I would be living at this moment in history when things would  get to the point to where he would have to judge the world. So, part of God’s plan of grace was to ”deliver us from the wrath to come”(First Thessalonians 1:10).

We are living in the Age of Grace now. It has been part of His plan that all the world be saved. Take advantage of it while you still can, to be delivered from the wrath to come. Call upon God’s grace and experience the things cited in this article.

Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
