“We have started to accept once more that our life is not our own and God has altered our path once again.” These were the words of a monk right after the severe earthquake that recently struck Italy. Surely, indeed, there is an element to life that goes beyond our simple earthly existence.
Like it or not, there is a God. There is a God who created you and me, and who sustains all of creation. He has a divine agenda and a grand plan for all of humanity, expressed in Colossians 1:16-17:
For by Him all things were created…all things have been created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
In our present world conditions and current events many things are on the verge of being “shaken up” and the course of many lives will be altered all around the world. Events are unfolding that are bringing uncertainty or fear. There is new “leadership” in the United States, potential worldwide economic collapse, the threat of cyber and EMP attacks, and increased violence and corruption in government. Then we have the problems with North Korea, China, Iran, and the huge buildup of Russian military forces, along with the threat of nuclear war. There are developments in the Middle East and Israel, particularly with the Temple Mount and the construction of the third temple, plans for which are all falling into place at a rapid pace!
Well, guess what folks. God is still in control! You say, how can that be? The answer is that God created each and every person with a free will. Humanity, as a whole, has unfortunately used that free will to turn against God. It is all coming to a head right now! Mankind, and nations in particular, are reaping the consequences.
Acts 14:16 says “And in the generations gone by He permitted all the nations to go their own ways.”
Parallel to all of this, God is revealing Himself in mighty ways and proving the truthfulness of His divinely inspired word, called the Bible, through archaeology and the literal fulfillment of prophecies given thousands of years ago.
Sometimes God may have to shake things up a bit, and not just the earth, to get people’s attention so that they will come to the realization that their life is not their own and God has altered their path. It is his will for all people to “be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus…who gave himself as a ransom for all”(I Timothy 2:4-6).
There is one big problem, though. People are being deceived. Matthew 24 says to be careful that no one misleads you. Satan is alive and is causing a great deception from the truth. The more people seek the “truth” in all the wrong places, the worse things are becoming.
What is going on now is showing the need for a savior who can bring peace, hope, and security. Acts 4:12 says that Jesus is that Savior. If you have not already done so, acknowledge Him as your Lord and Savior today. This does not mean that you will be free of problems. It does not mean that you will not be a victim of circumstances that affect you personally. You may be moved out of your zone of comfort and ease, but your life will be altered to experience hope, peace, and security not dependent upon the things happening in the world.
No matter how much shaking up there may be, and even if your own world seems to be crumbling all around you, Jesus can be your sure rock and foundation. Lay hold of Psalm 62:7-8. “On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, O people, pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.”
Is some part of your life being shaken up, or may be soon? How can you make God your Rock and Foundation in all of the things happening?
It is good for us to be shaken, but not stirred by what we see. So many there are who are misleading the sheep. Good to hear your clear and concise rightly dividing the Word of Truth message again. Good to be part of tbl again. Awesome insight and good advice. Thanx for a good read!
