Zephaniah 3:17” ….he will quiet you by his love….” Remember when Jesus was asleep in the boat and a great tempest arose on the sea and quickly made the waters around the disciples’ boat very ugly? Have we ever found ourselves sailing along the sea of life in calm, placid waters when suddenly a tempest in life came along and upset everything? Where did we turn to have our seas calmed? Did we look to the world or to God’s supernatural love?
Zephaniah 3:17 God the Father has invited us to come under his wing and take refuge in his presence. He has comforted us in the truth that he will quiet us with his supernatural love. How many times have we been in need of that stilling; when circumstances have caught us off guard and slammed us from one wave to the next? Everywhere we turned we saw turmoil and instability and we thought how did we get there and more importantly how did we get out?
We know that we did not place ourselves in this raging storm but that Satan came into our lives causing a great disturbance like flood waters rushing through dry lands. Isaiah 59:19” When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him. “When the enemy came into our lives like a raging flood trying to blind side us; we were comforted staying in the Lord’s peace as we stepped into his love and He by the power of his Spirit raised up a standard against the attack of the enemy.
Zechariah 4:6” So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty. So beloved in Christ let us remember that God quieted us in his love. “’Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.”
My sister needs this this weekend, Greg. Okay if I copy and send so it is easy and quick for her to find?
