How Great Is Our Love For God? (Introduction of “Heartitude”)

Do we have the same amount of love for our Heavenly Father as He does for us? What about the same amount of love and respect for His Son, Jesus Christ?

Something to think about:
When you wake up each morning, do you acknowledge the grace and
mercy God has given you? The ability to breathe in and exhale air from
your lungs?

The Father’s love for us does not compare to anything we can do or give Him. He poured out His love into His Son Jesus Christ; to show us what great lengths He would go to so we would know the absolute dimensions of His love for all!

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

This scripture clearly states how God wants all of humankind to be spared from spending eternity away from Him. If that is not a picture of God’s heart for us, we missed something somewhere.

God’s Word is inspired and given to us so that we can see the attitude of His heart towards His people. How much we show our love to our Heavenly Father, has a lot to do with the attitude of our hearts, as well (i.e., our “heartitude”).

We should all remind ourselves (daily) that we were put here by God, for God, and in the image of God, the Creator of the Universe! What a different world it would be if we would commit our lives to His Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ!

Our adversary, the devil himself, is looking specifically for believers, who are on fire for serving and glorifying the person of Jesus Christ! With God’s love within us, helping us to live victoriously, His love will function as a magnet drawing others to God, Himself!

Now that we know our heartitude plays a big part of the amount of love we have for God…

Stop and think for a moment: What is my heartitude reflecting to others?  The love of the Father or the world’s kind of love?

John 15:13 What greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
