Is God Late?

Have you ever been convinced that God was late?  Late supplying needs or giving a helping hand.  Perhaps you thought He was too slow giving a clear answer or rescuing you or a loved one from a dire situation?  As I was in one of my “waiting on God to answer” situations, He so very kindly inspired this little song in my thinking…

If I but trust in the Lord, He will hear my prayer;And He will answer by and by

Sending power from on high.

Although I can not understand why I have to fast and wait,

I know He’s working in His own time and He’ll make it work out great.

Well when I seek the Lord for His mercy and His grace,

He say’s, “I love you, but hang in there, this time you’ll have to wait.

I have a plan that you can’t see and it will bring the praise to Me.

‘Cause I’m working in my own time and I’ll make it work out great!”

Now the tension seems to mount and frustration fills my soul;

but, Jesus says, “Trust Me, I’ve bought and made you whole.

Don’t worry how you’re gonna make it.  I have a perfect plan.

Just watch and wait and trust me, praying ever that ‘He can’.”

He’s able.  He’s able. I know He is able.  I know my Lord is able to carry me through.*

So, when you’re up against the wall and your world comes tumbling down,

don’t fret or fear or worry, Jesus wants for you a crown.

If you’ll just praise and ever trust Him, He’ll bring you victory.

‘Cause He’s working in His own time and He’ll make it work…You’ll see.

Now relax and take a deep breath.  Our very capable, willing God is still on the throne and His timing is perfect!
