Looking At The Outside From The Inside

Feeling like an outsider in a world that seems increasingly dark and morally adrift is a common struggle for many. This sense of disconnection can be deeply unsettling, but it also serves as a powerful reminder of our higher calling and the values we hold dear. We need to look from within to without to gain perspective on the world. We need to see from the spirit’s vision and gain wisdom through the Word of the LORD.

In John 15:19, Jesus tells us, “If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.” These words offer comfort and clarity, affirming that our feelings of not fitting in are a testament to our faith and the path we have chosen.

As we observe the world around us, it often feels like we are witnessing a return to the worst of biblical times. Violence, greed, and immorality seem to dominate, reminiscent of the days of Noah when “the earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence” –Genesis 6:11. This moral decay prompts us to reflect deeply on our own values and actions.

We must ask ourselves: How can we remain true to our values in a world that seems to have lost its way? What steps can we take to make a positive difference? How can we find peace amidst the chaos? These reflective questions are crucial as we navigate our daily lives.

Despite the darkness, there is hope in the promises of God. Romans 8:28 reassures us, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” This verse reminds us that no matter how bleak things may seem, God is in control and has a plan for our lives.

Moreover, we find solace in the victory of Christ. Jesus said in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” This assurance gives us the strength to face each day with courage and faith.

In our quiet moments, it is essential to seek God’s guidance and strength through prayer. We can ask Him to help us be a light in the darkness, to show love and compassion to those around us, and to remain steadfast in our faith. It is in the still moments that we “hear His voice” clearly and profoundly. It is these times that we need to embrace as we seek His face in all we do – and hold onto the reality that “Jesus will return” and we will be a part of His glorious Kingdom – right now – this place is just temporary, and until we are called home – we all have a job to do, especially in these end times.

“Father God – I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and hope. In a world that often feels overwhelming and filled with darkness, I seek Your light and guidance. Help me to remember that I am not of this world, but that You have chosen me for a greater purpose. Strengthen my faith and give me the courage to stand firm in my beliefs, even when it feels like I don’t belong. Lord, I pray for wisdom to handle the challenges of this life and to make choices that honor You.  Thank You for the victory we have in Christ. May I find peace in the knowledge that Jesus has overcome the world. Guide me with Your Holy Spirit, and let Your will be done in my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.”

May this article serve as a loving reminder that even in the darkest times, there is hope and purpose in the Lord. By holding onto faith and trusting in God’s plan, we can find peace and strength to face any challenge.
