LORD, You Pull Us From Despair: And Bring Hope & Strength

Psalm 40:2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit and set my feet upon a rock-

This past week held several challenges.  My husband and I faced several hurdles that were blocking “our way.”  Adversity visited us.  However, it never suffocated us. Why?  Because of our faith in God, and His grace. And His overwhelming Presence that looms large in our lives, every given second of the day and bey0nd!

It is an awesome feeling to realize the depth of His love and the depth of His ability to soothe and help His children. My husband has great faith-but handles it differently.  I have great faith, and I handle it differently.  But when it gets down to it – we both “trust” the Lord and run to Him for everything.  So bottom line is although we each have our “own style” we ultimately RUN to Him for everything.  We both love Him.

I love to meditate on His Word.  I get lost in the Word.  I love reading His Word.  The complex, yet simple communication that comes from our Father’s Word is overwhelming.  It transcends time, it isn’t respective of a person’s status, and it encroaches on our very soul with loving bliss. The Word can take away your worries and it will provide the answers you need. Don’t hurry through it – stop, read it, then ask, “Father what is it you are trying to tell me?”

When I am “alone” with my Father and His Word- I don’t worry about anything.  I forget about issues pending or any significant problems that may be brewing.  I feel peace enveloping me and bringing instant relief.  Some may say – Wait, that doesn’t happen to me!  How can you say troubles go away?”  Well, I didn’t say troubles “go away per se” but, God will certainly hold your hand through your problems. He will bring and offer you a solution.  Or, at the very least, give you the strength to get through it.  Things that are tough will seem easier because of faith.

I had complete faith and trust in God this past week, as did my husband. We knew God would offer a solution.  And, true enough – He did!  Thank You Lord, Praise you God. We have complete faith in you all the time. Amen.

It is times of “celebration” of our great faith that makes me “happy and sad. -Why?”  Because some people don’t have that type of relationship with God.  They go through their “own struggles all alone!”  Can you imagine for a moment, “Life without God?”  How sad, how lonely – how hopeless it must be! A couple of thoughts come to mind- No light.  No hope.  Bondage. Despair.  How sad…How very sad!

Faith is believing when all evidence points in a completely different direction.  Faith is putting your trust in God.  Faith is complete dedication to our Father. Knowing He will be there for us-no matter what.  Faith is the ease of believing and having peace override the “turmoil.”  Faith is knowing your Father loves you.  Faith is knowing He is listening to our prayers.  Faith is knowing He will never leave us. Amazing, isn’t He?

God you are the Absolute Being, the All Knowing, the All Powerful, the Almighty, the Creator, the Divine Being, our Father, God, our King of kings, our Lord, our Maker, Yahweh, and pure unadulterated and unconditional Love.

You are so many things to so many people Lord.  Thank you for loving me and giving me this platform -writing ministry/website- to worship you, and to exalt your name.  Thank you, Abba Father, for your help this past week. All glory and honor belong to You and You alone…Praise and Bless you my Lord my God.

I love meditating on your Word Lord.  And for those of you who haven’t experienced peace, or love, pick up His Book and experience for yourselves, the most powerful love you can ever know.  See what LIFE is about. The question then becomes –  What are you waiting for?

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2

“Dear LORD, thank You for the steadfast love You give, the foundation You provide, and Your Presence that never leaves me, may I serve You humbly and be a vessel in Your will for my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

We used to sing this song in Bristol Ct.

    Oh Glory to GOD,
    He lifted me up.
    He lifted me up
    I knoooow.
    He reached down
    His Hands and
    Lifted Me up and
That’s why I love Him so.
