Our Eternal Creator – God’s Timelessness

The Eternal Creator: God’s Timelessness

In the beginning, before time and space as we know it, there was God—Eternal, Omnipotent, and Omnipresent. He was not bound by the constraints of time or the physical universe. In His infinite wisdom and love, God decided to create a world, a canvas where His glory and majesty could be displayed.

With a word, He called forth light, piercing the primordial darkness. The heavens and the earth were formed, each element meticulously crafted by His hand. The stars were scattered across the sky like diamonds, the seas were filled with life, and the land burst forth with vegetation. Each creation reflected a part of His nature—His creativity, power, and attention to detail.

Among His creations, humans were unique, fashioned in His image and likeness. They were given dominion over the earth, entrusted with its care and stewardship. God walked with them in the cool of the day, sharing a relationship that was intimate and profound.

Reflective Questions

  1. How does the understanding of God’s eternal nature influence my perspective on life and creation?
  2. What does it mean to be made in the image of God, and how should that affect my daily actions and decisions?
  3. How can I better appreciate and steward the world that God has created?
  4. In what ways can I cultivate a deeper relationship with God, akin to the relationship He had with the first humans?
  5. How does the story of creation inspire me to recognize God’s presence in the world around me?

Supportive Scriptures

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Psalm 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Christianity: Yesterday and Today

Christianity Yesterday -In the early days of Christianity, believers gathered in small, intimate groups, often in secret due to persecution. They shared their faith through oral traditions and letters, focusing on the teachings of Jesus and the apostles. The early church was marked by a strong sense of community, mutual support, and a deep commitment to living out the teachings of Christ.

Christianity Today- Today, Christianity is a global faith with a diverse range of practices and expressions. Churches vary from small congregations to large megachurches. Modern technology allows for the spread of the Gospel through digital means, reaching people across the world instantaneously. However, the core of Christianity remains unchanged faith in Jesus Christ and the call to live out His teachings.

Reflective Questions for Today

  1. How can I maintain the sense of community and mutual support that characterized the early church?
  2. In what ways can I use modern technology to share and live out my faith effectively?
  3. How can I ensure that my faith remains rooted in the teachings of Jesus amidst the distractions of modern life?
  4. What practices can I adopt to deepen my relationship with God and fellow believers?
  5. How can I balance tradition and innovation in my approach to faith and worship?

“LORD-We stand in awe of Your eternal nature and Your magnificent creation. Thank You for the beauty and wonder of the world You have formed. Help us to live as faithful stewards of Your creation, reflecting Your image in our actions and decisions. Guide us to build strong, supportive communities of faith, just as the early believers did. May we use the tools and opportunities of our time to spread the Gospel and live out Your teachings. Strengthen our relationship with You and with one another, that we may walk closely with You each day. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.”

Scripture to Ponder

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
