“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” – John 11:25
When Jesus spoke these words to Martha after the death of her brother Lazarus, He revealed a truth that would transform not only her grief but the entire course of human history. By declaring Himself “the resurrection, and the life,” Jesus affirmed His authority over both physical death and spiritual separation from God. This promise of life is not confined to the future—it begins the moment we place our trust in Him!
The resurrection is the cornerstone of our faith, offering hope that transcends the brokenness of this world. Romans 6:4 states, “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” This verse reminds us that Christ’s resurrection is not only a historical event but a present reality that empowers us to live transformed lives.
Philippians 3:10 adds, “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.”
To know the power of the resurrection is to experience the Victory of Christ in every aspect of our lives—over sin, fear, despair, and even death itself.
In practical terms, living in the power of the resurrection might mean extending grace to someone who has hurt us, trusting God in the midst of uncertainty, or stepping out in faith to share the gospel.
It is a daily choice to embrace hope and reject despair, to walk in the light of Christ’s victory. To be a servant and vessel in His will and purpose for our lives. To shine His light from within to those in the darkness.
To share and offer testimonies of His greatness and His glory. And to be the epitome of what a Christian is called to be, humble, faithful and in His service 24/7!
As we remember the “Cross” and His sacrifice, and God’s great mercy for all of us sinners, let us fully embrace Him in all we do.
Let’s be all He expects us to be in all we endeavor, each minute of the day and beyond. He is the One that matters, and it is because of His great sacrifice, and the miracle of defeating death, that we have LIFE- and through His gift of sacrifice, we will receive Eternal rewards.
What an amazing King we serve!
“LORD, thank You for the power of Your resurrection and the hope it brings. Help us to live in this power, trusting in Your promises and sharing Your love with others. May our lives reflect Your victory and bring glory to your name. May we walk in humble obedience, serving You, giving you all the Praise, knowing we are here only through Your mercy and grace, thank You seems hardly enough, may we be all we can be through You, and for You, in Your precious name, Amen.”
Reflective Question: What does the power of the resurrection mean to you, and how can it transform the way you live today?
CD, Great article on applying the power of Christ’s resurrection in our own lives. Resurrection Day is more than an observance on the calendar. It is life-transforming when we know Christ as Savior and let Him work His power in and through us.
Thanks for the spiritual discernment and practical applications of His resurrection.
Thank you so much Dale –

God BLess~
Well done putting together your message. It is with multiple facets that characterize our Lord and Savior and His love for us. All the abundant benefits we receive by His love, mercy and grace is so numerous that we have yet to learn of Him for He has revealed Himself to us that which is necessary in order for us to fellowship with and worship before Him.
We have all eternity ahead of us yet I believe we will not plum the depths of His attributes as He has no limits.
How wonderful to be forgiven and gifted eternal life by His perfect ways!
