Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
A local radio station was having a fund raiser sponsored by local churches in my area for populations in Africa. The churches hope they could help bring solar-powered energy solutions to rural communities. The object of the fund raiser is to provide access for reliable energy into the lives of those who otherwise would be in the “dark.”
Solar panels would help considerably in giving individuals opportunities to plug into so many things. They’d have electricity which can take care of so many incidentals in their lives. They would be able to connect in more ways than one. It would bring them into a whole different style of living. Providing them with at home ease that they ordinarily wouldn’t have. Things that we here is the USA might take for granted at times. Then I got to thinking about Solar Panels overall.
We are kind of like “Solar Panels” for Jesus, aren’t we?
Think about it for a moment. A Solar panel absorbs the power directly from the sun and supplies the currents necessary for things to “connect.”
God is our major Light. He is in fact the brightest light in the lives of the faithful.
God is the main supplier for all things. When we connect to Him, and fill up with His radiance, His Presence, and His Word…we’re able through Christ, to provide the source to those in the dark. Those without Solar Power in Africa would be in the dark otherwise, right? So, the sun supplies the light. We are akin to Solar Panels! We shine His light to those in the dark.
Bringing the light to those in the dark is our way of continuing His work. Supplying the Word, connecting them to the brightest light of all, Christ. John 8:12
Jesus expressed and commanded us to carry on with His Gospel to all the nations- Matthew 28:20 And we are doing just that, by being the secondary source of power, through the main source of Power, Our Lord and Savior, Christ.
We need to ask ourselves; how can we be reflective of His Light? And how can we supply His Word to those in the dark?
I will never look at a Solar Panel quite the same way again, after this analogy. But when we accept Christ as our LORD and Savior, we never look at life the same way again anyhow. We are new creatures in Him-2 Corinthians 5:27 And we generate the power through Him to shine that light. In fact, Jesus instructs us to provide the light and don’t hide it in a basket-Matthew 5:16
Go my friends and supply His light through your panel!
Time to help those in the dark…
“LORD, may I be a source of Your light to those in the dark, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
What a neat analogy. It is amazing how God gives inspiration for articles.
