Ten Things That Happen At Salvation

1. SAVED BY GRACE
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast”(Ephesians 2:8-9). “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus”(Romans 3:23-24). This includes the most righteous or religious person who has ever lived.

2. JUSTIFIED BY FAITH
“…One is justified by faith apart from works of the law”(Romans 3:28). Being justified also means God has declared us righteous. When God looks at us he doesn’t see our past or sin, but rather he sees the righteousness of Christ.

3. ADOPTION INTO GOD’S FAMILY
“To all who have received him, who believe in his name, he gave the right to become children of God”(John 1:12). There is no such thing as universal salvation! It is an individual decision. Every person is a creation of God, but not all are his children. “The Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God – heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may be glorified with him.(Romans 8:16-17).

4. TRANSFERRED FROM SATAN’S KINGDOM OF DARKNESS TO GOD’S KINGDOM OF LIGHT
“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins”(Colossians 1:13-24).

5. INDWELT BY GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT
“Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?(First Corinthians 6:19).

6. DIRECT ACCESS TO GOD
“Through him we have access in one Spirit to the Father”(Ephesians 2:18).

7. PARTAKERS OF GOD’S DIVINE NATURE
“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness…by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire”(Second Peter 1:3-4).

8. POWER OVER SIN
“We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin”(Romans 6:6).

9. HAVE A PLACE PREPARED IN HEAVEN
“According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you”(First Peter 1:3-4).

10. SAVED FROM THE WRATH TO COME
“Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God”(Romans 5:9), for God has not destined us for wrath(First Thessalonians 5:9).

These 10 things apply only to those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. If you have not done that, you too can have these things by inviting Him to come into your heart and life. I pray you will do that!

  2. An add on as Jesus proclaims not just the Father but the Son whereby the Godhead is shown as a equal representation

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
