The Compassionate Light Of Life

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Adversity is a benign enough word, but the true course of its meaning can be staggering to many. It is safe to assume that a majority of individuals will face many trials and tribulations in their lifetime. And the difference between one undergoing adversity who is strongly rooted in their faith, will undoubtedly find it easier to cope than the ones without a belief system.

God’s arms extend to all of us. However, some may not accept “His embrace” as readily as those who believe. In fact, some may mock and rebel against any and all invitations to learn about the LORD. Sadly, there are a vast amount of people who will never know the all-consuming love of God. They may never know how He sustains and maintains an important Presence in their lives. And most important, how He loves with an intensity that is unsurpassed. They’ll never know or understand Jesus if they don’t have an interest in doing so.

They will never know that when we have faith, and trust, we ask and it will be given, we seek and we will find, and when we knock, He will open up, and help with any or all circumstances. We can only pray and hope those in darkness and of unbelief will be convicted and receive the unction of the Spirit to surge forward delving into the Word and His love. Ask, seek, knock.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Currently, we are living in times when God is pouring out His Spirit on all believers in Christ, filling them and empowering them to serve Him in holiness and great joy. Have you asked the Lord to fill you today?  Do so, and believe…because when tough times comes calling, you’ll be filled with His Light and peace to help you through. When the darkness threatens to block out the light, His Light will illuminate our path. When we call upon the LORD, all things are possible. There is a rendering of full understanding that separates the believers from the non-believers. Calling upon the LORD for His strength and grace is what will keep those individuals grounded and rooted, and we become unshakeable through Him. When we call upon the LORD, He will hear our cries.

Joel 2:32  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

The amazing thing about believing is the comfort of knowing that He will guide us through anything and everything we face. He is centrally located, right in our hearts. He loves us, and carries us through all things, and it breaks my heart knowing that some don’t even know Him or the incredible Being He is.

Do you want the Light to guide you through the dark world of today? Do you want the ability to be able to wisely maneuver through circumstances in which you can’t handle on your own?  The choice is yours, and He is always waiting with open arms, are you ready to accept His embrace?

“Father thank You for loving me and shining Your Light into the darkness, I pray for those who don’t know You will open their hearts and accept Your embrace, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”

  1. I would think that no one would voluntarily choose physical blindness. Unfortunately many don’t comprehend that there is spiritual blindness. The enemy of our souls want it that way. So sad that they cooperated with the one who hates them and wants to harm them forevermore.
The evil hordes maneuver in the dark recesses and do their utmost to keep those made in the image of God from knowing the truth about their Creator who loves them. Instead they trick many unaware by supplanting the truth to make it seem unwelcoming to those walking about in darkness so that they don’t come to the Savior and find freedom from their bondage to sin.
The pleasures of life and/or riches are some tools of the devil to turn people from the light so they remain in darkness. The attractions that people pursue is a diversion that are deployed to deplete and destroy their souls. We must pray that the light of the gospel will be given to dispel the workings of the enemies and His radiant will be seen.
    Loved your article.

  2. Cora,
I agree with all of which you’ve posted. The evil that is being promulgated today is so prolific, especially for those of faith who are “aware” of the spiritual battle and dark forces that are in play in this world. Thank you so much for taking time to read my post and to offer your wisdom and input. I really appreciate it, and you!
    God Bless~
