Have you fully comprehended the fact that the Bible has a scripture for everything? This statement is no exaggeration. Every issue we could ever have, and everything that affects our lives—whether relationship, money, love, work, family, and the likes—is addressed in the Bible, even matters such as homosexuality and incest. There’s nothing new under the sun for which God had not already made preparations for, by placing guidelines in the Bible. Although we may not always search for the facts, or agree to follow what it says, God’s great big book of everything is filled with instructions for our everyday lives, and encouragement for everyday troubles and trials.
We must be amazingly special children for our Heavenly Father to make such detailed planning for our well-being. He thought of everything. Parents who are leaving their children with a sitter, will make thorough preparation before leaving the house. They’ll leave the address where they’re going and the contact numbers where they can be reached as well as other emergency phone numbers. They’ll ensure the sitter knows every exit, where the medication and first aid kit are located, and the alarm code. The only way they’ll be comfortable being away, is knowing that their children are safe and in good hands.
Our Heavenly Father is like that. He inspired men to record a holy-handbook efficient enough to guide us through this lifetime, and to prepare us for the one to come. 2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.” Here are a few of the many Life-scriptures…
Discouragement: Deuteronomy 31:8
Poverty: Proverbs 22:22-23
Laughter: Proverbs 17:22
Sickness: Psalm 34:19
Children: Psalm 127:3
In order to reap all the benefits the Bible has to offer, we have to take the time, to spend time in the word. The more we study, the more we’ll be able to find what we’re looking for, and apply it to our lives. Additionally, we’ll be able to pass onto someone else the information we’ve gleaned. The great big book of everything is missing nothing. So, whatever you’re going through today, the Bible has an explanation and a solution for it. Start reading!
