The LORD’s Unwavering Protection: A Tire Blowout & His Grace

Psalm 17:7-8  The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; my Savior, You save me from violence. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.

God’s Unwavering Protection: A Tire Blowout and His Grace

As I reflect on the LORD’s protection and the times in which His mighty hand saved me, family, friends and others – I recall one particular Saturday when His hands saved us in a powerful way that made us quiver with humble thanks and love!

One day- not too long ago-on a seemingly ordinary Saturday, my husband and I chose to take the back roads to get to our appointment, avoiding the highway traffic. And instead of getting on the highway we turned off and decided to take a scenic route instead. Little did we know that this decision would lead to a profound encounter with God’s protection.

As we drove along the country roads, our tire blew out and split in two—no warning, no time to react!  But thankfully we were alone on the road and able to stop without any consequences. We knew at that exact moment that God’s hand intervened, preventing disaster on the highway.

In that powerful moving second, gratitude deeply overwhelmed us. As we both looked at each other and knew we were both okay – in unison we whispered: “Thank You, Father, we love You too!”

Obviously, if we were traveling at regular highway speed – the outcome could have, and more than likely- WOULD have been very different! Tires that blowout on highways, we all know what happens and how easily we can lose control. I shudder to think – but thanking God for His amazing love and protection! Amen!

God’s protection is constant! His eyes on us at all times! His love covers us always!

Trusting in the Lord is more than a mere affirmation; it’s an act of surrender. Placing ourselves willingly in His care acknowledges His Omnipotent Presence in our lives. Revelation 3:20 echoes His invitation: “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

God is our daily bread, our sustenance. Without Him, we are nothing! Ostensibly with Him, all things are possible. Our love for Him grows daily, intensified by seeking His face and trusting Him alone. He opens closed doors and shuts open ones—His Sovereignty undeniable.

His love and protection envelop us. Even in life’s fires, we emerge unscathed. His mercy knows no bounds, and His promises resonate throughout Scripture. Isaiah 55:17 assures us: “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.”

Christianity transcends religion—it’s a living reality. As we walk the narrow path, we find strength. The world drifts from God, but those who choose His way receive open rewards, now and forever.

Miracles still happen. Whether a small saving grace or an extraordinary intervention, God’s hand is at work. Let’s remain vigilant, recognizing His unwavering love.  Trust God, acknowledge His presence, and find courage in His unwavering protection.

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for protection, guidance, and boundless love. Strengthen our faith, help us see miracles, and grant us courage. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.”
