Have you ever put a puzzle together and tried to force a piece where it didn’t belong? Or worse yet, have you ever done a puzzle only to discover that there was a single piece missing? Whether the puzzle was 25 pieces or 5,000, a missing piece ruins the entire puzzle. There’s no sense of accomplishment. There’s no finished product. Despite the hours of hard work, the puzzle remains incomplete. This has happened to me on more than one occasion, and perhaps that’s why I’m not much of a puzzle fan these days.
What’s truly sad is how many people are putting together the puzzle of life and missing a peace (and yes, I spelled that correctly). They strive to fill that space with all sorts of different pieces (jobs, families, hobbies, money, recognition, bad habits), but in the end, there’s still a missing peace because there is only one right piece to fill that void. It is that one piece that gives everlasting peace, but they don’t see it. Like a frustrated child at a puzzle, they continue to try one wrong piece after another, looking for the proper fit. What they don’t realize is that the piece is missing, and none of the other pieces will fill that void.
If you are one of those people today, may I tell you how to find that missing piece/peace? It can only be found in Jesus. He is the Prince of Peace. Only by surrendering your life completely to Him can your life be complete. Only He can fill that void and satisfy the longing in your soul.
Go to Him.
Confess your faults.
And ask Him to be Lord of your life.
He will not refuse you. On the contrary, He will complete you, and no matter what else life may bring, your puzzle will remain complete in Him.
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. – Romans 5:1-2
