There Isn’t a “Bang” Big Enough!

One day, there was nothing: no universe, no earth, no plants or animals and no people. Then, the universe sprang into existence as a “singularity.”  Experts admit that they do not know what a singularity is or where it comes from! A “singularity” is believed to exist in a black hole—an area of intense gravitational pressure. So intense is that pressure that it squeezes finite matter into infinite density …described as mind-boggling mathematics! Our universe began small, hot and dense. Then—Big Bang! Our universe, our planet, our very lives, came from nowhere, for unknown reasons … This is the Big Bang Theory.

One day, there was a beginning to God’s creation:

In the beginning God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1

There are billions of stars in the skies above us, each in their place. Our planet was designed perfectly to sustain our lives. Gravity keeps us on the earth—it would take a speed of 25,000 miles per hour for us to escape the earth’s pull. If gravity were any stronger, we would be crushed.

His gave much thought to His world, and designed it in beauty:

Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’ ” Genesis 1:26

We are  fearfully and wonderfully made by our wise Creator: Our heart will have beat over a billion times by the time we reach age 30. Our brain is protected by the fluid surrounding it from disease and trauma, the right side controlling the left side of our body, and the left side controlling the right side of our body. Our left lung is divided into two parts, while our right lung is divided into three parts. There are over 30 blood types, categorized into four groups. Our tongues are like our fingertips—they have individual prints. When we sneeze, the force is at 100mph—expelling viruses and bacteria that could cause us harm.

 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
 What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?

For You have made him a little lower than the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.

 You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet … “ (Psalm 8: 3-6).

This is the truth from the Word of God.  Everything we see, all that we are, everything around us that has been created with thought, care and love, could all of this come from nothing? There isn’t a “bang” big enough!

Do you believe that this world and all it contains could come from nothing? Considering the facts above, will you look to God and consider the truth that He is our Creator, Who formed and fashioned everything?
