We Yield An Unstoppable Weapon

We Yield An Unstoppable Weapon

By Joel B.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

I’m not one to talk about history, but let me give you a little history lesson on the Holy Bible. In 303 A.D. a crazy Roman emperor by the name of Diocletian was destroying bibles and killing Christians for owning them. Thousands died and countless bibles were destroyed. He even erected a monument with the words inscribed, “Exitincto nomine Christianorum”, which suggested he had extinguished the name of the Christians. It wasn’t but a short ten years later that Christianity became the official religion of Rome.

My friends. the Holy Bible isn’t just a book. It’s is the Book. It’s our Holy guide to life and to God’s thoughts. It’s a love letter to us from our Lord to us that tells us about how He died for us and how He wants to redeem us. It’s a book of beautiful poetry written by wise and masterful poets. It’s a book about the foundations of the earth and its demise. It’s a book of unshakable prophecy that cannot and will not be proven wrong. Finally, it is a powerful book of warfare that we can yield against a spiritual enemy when the fiery darts come blazing at us.

Friends, make sure you’re tapping into the best selling book of all-time. Make sure you’re searching the scriptures for knowledge, wisdom, and guidance at least once a day. Take some time out to do devotions and you’ll find yourself growing more than you can imagine. You don’t have to do it alone. Choose a friend or family member to do devotions with. If there’s no one around, remember God is still with you anyway, so you’re not truly alone. Thank you for reading and God bless.

  1. The book of life,no book like it.

  2. This book breathes life into those who feast upon it for the words represent the giver of life . Christ is the living word of the scripture and it is about Him so it cannot be wiped out no matter who tries.

  3. As I was praying through the armor and putting it on this week, I got to the Sword of the Spirit–the Word of God. My heart was so convicted that the Word used without the Spirit kills. But when the anointing of The Spirit covers the Word, life flows. Oh, to handle the Word with such care that the Spirit flows is my heart’s desire! Love the Bottom Line for that very reason :). Thanks!

  4. God’s Holy Bible applies today to everyday circumstances and problems. Here are some tidbits in God’s Word. God shows us the way to salvation–John 11:17-27. God comforts us in the Word–Matthew 5:1-12. He is our provider–Matthew 6:25-34. He is our protector–Psalm 121. Read Psalm 51–a beautiful prayer for forgiveness. The Bible is the answer to everyday topics. As Joel said, it is our Guide on how to live day by day in this world today. God is the author and finisher of life. There is no better book to read than The Bible who is written by the Creator, Himself.
