You are a special and unique creation of God. He made you the way you are, male or female (Genesis 1:27) for a purpose, and you were intricately designed even before the time of your conception. Be thankful for who you were, whichever gender, when you were born. Psalm 139:13-16 says, “God formed my inward parts, you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made…My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book was written, every one of them…”
It is common knowledge (or at least it should be) that a person’s gender is determined by chromosomes. A male has an X and a Y chromosome, while a female has two X’s. Sadly, some have wanted to change what God has created! If there were, however, such a thing as a chromosome with writing on it that said, “made in the image of God with a purpose,” all people would have it.
Each person is made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), for God’s glory (Isaiah 43:7), and for a purpose, one example of which is stated in Jeremiah 1:4-5. “Now the word of the Lord came to me saying, ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations’.” Your life has a purpose! You can insert your name in that verse.
You were created to glorify God and to reflect his character qualities. However, to realize your purpose means to give God his rightful recognition that he deserves as your Creator. Acknowledge that he made you as you were at birth, and for a reason.
Not only that, God loves you so much that he sent his Son, Jesus, to die for your sins. He extends his grace- undeserved favor-to anyone who accepts Jesus as his or her Savior.
Not only will God give a new purpose, but “we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them”(Ephesians 2:10). The word “workmanship” in the original language is “poiema” from which comes the modern word, “poem.” A poem is a unique and inspired creation. God can take all the broken pieces of your life and make whoever you are into a creative masterpiece for his glory.
Thank you, John, for another fine message that shines His truth and glory.
We are all indeed His Masterpieces in the works!
God Bless~
I love the message that is clearly stated in this writing! I wish the world would open their eyes to see what God has created. Each person is different and that’s what makes us so unique!
Thank you for expressing God’s truth so well!
God bless you, brother.
