Psalms 100:4 -Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
With Thanksgiving here, I thought it relevant to give thanks and praise to the LORD for all He is and has been since the beginning of time. And as Christians in particular, we offer praise and glory to the One most high. So, let’s take it a couple of verses at a time, in honor of His glory and Omnipotence and grace. Amen.
Psalms 50:14 – Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
In general terms offering our “thanks” to the LORD is inherently part of who we are as Christians and as one body in Christ. Praising Him and honoring Him is, and should be a daily occurrence with us, but time has a way of slipping by in this busy world. So especially on Thanksgiving, let’s give our LORD praise starting with His love and grace, for without such we would not be here today. Amen.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 – In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
In everything we do and say give Him thanks. In both good times and bad times, rough seas and tranquil seas, stormy weather and sunny days. Give Him thanks for all things in Jesus name, Amen.
Psalms 103:2 – Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
The benefits of being followers is too numerous to write in this article, but the main focus is “eternal salvation” that if not for Jesus’ blood and sacrifice, we would not be forgiven and promised eternal rewards for those who believe in Him. The benefits of life ever after and living in His Kingdom, are beyond the scope of comprehension to the mere mortal, but it is a reality that we will come upon and face when we are called home. Amen.
Colossians 2:6-7 – As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
Receiving Christ as our Savior, we are inspired by His Spirit, and guided in our daily lives. We try to walk in the spirit and think in the spirit, not the flesh, which is contradictory to the flesh. In all we do and say, walk as Jesus, and embrace what Jesus commands us to do. Amen.
Revelation 4:11 – Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
And finally, the LORD is worthy to receive glory, and honor, and power, and praise, for all things. Today as we celebrate Thanksgiving—celebrate the biggest and BEST of all, our LORD and Savior. And in doing all things, please Him, and put in first in everything at all times.
What are you thankful for? Have you honored Him in your heart, mind, body, and soul? Do you put Him first in all you do? And how can you honor him today with a special act of kindness?
“With thanks to the Great I Am, and the One and only King, all glory and honor belong to You my LORD, today and always, thank You for another year to celebrate this day, but may I always remember to honor and celebrate You in my heart every single day of my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Amen! You stated it well. If there is anything or anyone worthy, He stands alone!!
We are blessed by His love, mercy, grace, and the life He offers us.
Nothing can come close to our existence that will satisfy the heart. It is eternal not temporal. Praise be only to Him!
