Husbands love your wives

Ephesians 5:25“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” We find Paul exhorting Christian husbands in his day worldwide to sacrifice for their wives as Jesus sacrificed for the church by giving his life for his creation to establish the church on the day of Pentecost. We remember the promised Holy Spirit came and began to change the hearts of man to begin to build the Kingdom Of God so the message of Christ would begin to be proclaimed among the nations of the earth.

Men, on a smaller scale today we need to be willing to lay  down our lives and love our wives unconditionally by following the example  of our Lord and honor our wives by being the reflection of Christ to these precious souls on a daily basis. We honor our wives and truly love them than they will in turn respect us.  We keep the relationships with our wives in proper order and the Lord can bless us as couples emotionally, physically and spiritually. We also set Godly role models for our children who then can reflect these lessons learned unto their children.

The family institution is being attacked on every front in today’s world. The church is not exempt from the enemies’  assault  on the family as we find the divorce rate in the church reflecting the same numbers as in secular society. The Christian family is the biblical role model the world needs to see to bring people into the kingdom and bring back the power of the traditional family to influence morality in our country and worldwide. This can definitely happen if Christian husbands start in their own backyards by taking to heart Ephesians 5:25 and walking out this powerful  truth we can turn our families and the families of the world upside down.
