Matthew 19:13-15 “Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. 14But Jesus said, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” 15After laying His hands on them, He departed from there.” Parent’s do you hear the cry of the Lord’s heart in these passages? We need to be diligent to bring our children to Jesus and let them get to know him intimately and deeply. Let us not hinder our children from sitting in the master’s lap.
The disciples were rebuked by Jesus for preventing the children from coming to him.The disciples had alluded to Jesus being far too important and busy to minister to children. He did not have time to visit with them. Jesus said “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Our Lord said we must have the attitude of children to enter the Kingdom of God. He welcomes children of all ages to come and fellowship with him.
We all must come to Jesus with a childlike faith; a faith that says” Lord Jesus I will not lean on my own understanding but I will put my complete and unhindered trust in you. I totally trust every part of my existence to your loving hands. So let all the children come unto Jesus.
