The ocean floors would be a great place to hide…The earth’s largest mountain range does it, so do canyons deep and wide. 1.5 million different species do it, some only learned of in recent years, and fifty-percent of all life found on our planet does! Most of us will never see the Mid-Atlantic Range, lying far beneath the water’s surface, or meet the many species swimming meters below the surface of the tides, but they are not really hidden–they’ve been found out!
It is foolish of us to think that we can hide anything from God, and those of us who know Him wouldn’t consciously try to hide anything from Him. But we often live this way. Behaving as if we are hiding something from the very One Who created us. Why is it human nature to hide? Perhaps because hiding works for a time. But then the “tides” of life roll in, washing long-hidden things into the light to be discovered.
We may never know all that lies in the depth of the earth’s seas, hidden in dark waters miles from the light. It is not for us to know. But God sees all: “For there is nothing hidden that shall not be disclosed, nor anything secret that shall not be known and come out into the open. (Luke 8:17, Amplified) The healthiest way for us to live is in this truth–the truth that everything will be revealed in His time.
