Will You Pass the Test?

Knowing the right answer can be everything, but test taking is a challenge for most. Some,  after hours of study, find anxiety at test time keeps them from recalling the correct answer they’ve worked so hard to learn.

Having a sense of humor when dealing with the pressure of taking a test can be a good thing, but knowing the right answers often means the difference between success and failure. Some tests can be re-administered, while others are given only once. When it comes to the Word of God and the right way to live, the correct answer does mean everything…will you pass the test?

In keeping with a sense of humor towards testing,  here’s a look at what some teachers received for answers on tests in history and geography:

  1. What ended in 1896?   (1895)
  2. Where was the Declaration of Independence signed?  (At the bottom)
  3. Name 6 animals that live in the Arctic. ( 2 polar bears, 4 seals)
  4. What did Mahatma Gandhi and Genghis Khan have in common? (unusual names)

If you asked most teachers, they would tell you that they have seen every kind of incorrect answer to their tests: from humorous, to sad, to the inappropriate. But in today’s world, many have incorrect answers to questions of eternal significance. How would you answer the questions below?

  1. Is there only one way to God?

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

  1. Do you need to be involved in a local church to be spiritually healthy as a Christian?

Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near. Hebrews 10:25

  1. Under grace, do we still need to keep the Commandments of God?

We show our love for God by obeying his commandments, and they are not hard to follow. 1 John 5:3

God’s Word is available to us, and the correct answers to every question of life are contained in His Pages. But it is up to each of us to be students of His Word. Then, we can pass the test of truth–and pass the answers on to others!

Do you have questions about the absolute truth found in God’s Word?  What do you struggle with where the scriptures are concerned? Can we be of assistance at the Bottom Line Ministries?

  1. Great article Lisa !
You graciously brought a lightheartedness to an important article about where we can find all the correct answers in life
…. And you did so a time when we could easily allow ourselves to get depressingly serious.
We should always be directing people to the Truth so they will know the correct answers.

    • Thanks so much, Melinda! I did enjoy having a laugh over the funny answers kids come up with! Thanks for taking the time to let me know your thoughts!!
