Healthy Foods To Match The Need

By John Livingston Clark

Did you know there are foods that look like the body part they are designed to nurture and maintain? That’s right! For those of us who believe that each person is a special creation of God it should come as no surprise that our Divine Creator and Designer would provide the exact food necessary to have healthy bodies. Many people make eating right so complicated, but if a person eats some or all of the following foods it would go a long way toward keeping one’s vital organs healthy.

SLICED CARROTS look like the human eye. They produce more blood flow to the eyes and protect against muscular degeneration, a problem for many people over 65.

TOMATOES have four chambers just like the human heart. This vegetable is loaded with an ingredient that is good for this life-sustaining body part.

GRAPES resemble the alveoli of the lungs, allowing oxygen into the blood stream. They also help reduce lung cancer and emphysema.

WALNUTS look like the brain. Scientists claim they help develop neuron-transmitters, important in the communication of brain cells. They also help prevent dementia.

KIDNEY BEANS are shaped exactly like the kidneys, and are good for the overall health of this body part.

CELERY and RHUBARB resemble bone structure and enhance bone strength.

AVOCADOS and PEARS provide good health for the female’s womb and cervix and, again, look like these parts. Interestingly it takes nine months to grow an avocado from blossoming to being fully ripened. According to research one avocado a week can possibly prevent cervical cancer. So, men, if we do not like avocados I guess we do not need to eat them.

FIGS are full of seeds and hang in pairs. They increase sperm count and help overcome male sterility.

SWEET POTATOES look much like the pancreas. They help this organ function better, including balancing the glycemic index of diabetics.

OLIVES resemble and help the ovaries, including lowering the risk of ovarian cancer.

The same type of similarities and purposes can be said about grapefruit, oranges, bananas, onions, ginger, mushrooms, broccoli, and possibly other foods that have not been included in this listing.

God’s provision and grace is so awesome in meeting the needs of our bodies. Let’s don’t spoil it by eating junk foods and other things that can harm us. We have a responsibility to take care of this body that God has masterfully designed, and we should seek to live as long as possible by eating right, so that we can have more time to glorify Him and spread the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ.
