The Lord Rejoices Over Us

Believers’ take courage because God rejoices over us with gladness of heart and singing as we find in Zephaniah3:17” The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.” Our God who created the universe rejoices over us with gladness of heart and singing. Ponder this awesome reality and shout for joy that God rejoices over you in gladness and song of heart.

God who inhabits all in all and is a perfect being complete within himself does not need anything from anyone; rejoices over us with songs of joy because he is pleased with us. This is why he sent Jesus to earth because man had found favor with God. I think we all know that we did not do anything to gain God’s favor; He favors us because of his great love for us his cherished possession.

Let’s put it into human terms it is like a couple who has a child and this newborn brings joy and receives great favor from his parent’s because it is their child and they love him so much they would do anything to protect and take care of that child. Defining this concept in supernatural terms God had created a new family through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ. Like that human couple God rejoices and sings over us because he loves us so much that he would do anything to protect and take care of us. He has already showed this by giving us Jesus.
