A Child is Born in Bethlehem
Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
Christ’s Birth
The birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem is a cornerstone event in the Christian faith, fulfilling ancient prophecies and ushering in a new era of hope and redemption for humanity. Bethlehem, though small and seemingly insignificant, became the birthplace of the Savior, highlighting God’s preference for the humble and the meek. This event marked the intersection of the Divine and human realms, where God’s eternal plan for salvation began its fulfillment in the most unexpected of places. The elegance of Christ and His love is supremely highlighted in terms of what He came to earth to do and fulfill for us! A King born in a stable! He did this for us, the enormity of what He actually did for us – is overwhelming when one takes the time to really drink it all in. In fact – as times it is too huge to fully comprehend in our human form or human brains. But we know that He did it for love. Christ is love!
Meaning and Relevance Today
In today’s world, the story of Christ’s birth in Bethlehem continues to resonate deeply. It reminds us that greatness often comes from unexpected places and that God’s Presence is with us even in the humblest of circumstances. The birth of Jesus is a testament to God’s immense love for us, offering the promise of salvation and eternal life. In a modern context, this narrative calls us to make room for Jesus in our lives, much like the innkeeper who failed to find space for the Holy Family. The distractions and demands of contemporary life can crowd out our spiritual priorities, but the story of Bethlehem encourages us to seek simplicity and openness to God’s Presence. Embracing Him in all we do and living our lives according to His gospel and the Word is what those of faith are called to do. We inherently become entrenched and grafted in Him – He is the Vine. The branches cannot exist without the vine. Christ and His birth, death and resurrection is the message that resonates throughout the world, most notably on Christmas day.

God bless you all
When I think of the ‘planned birth ‘of Jesus before His arrival; hints about this One were pointed out to individuals throughout the centuries.
He chose a place that no human being would have chosen purposefully if they could make such an arrangement.
But that is one example of what humility looks like to the Lord.
He didn’t need to toot His horn and force people to bend the knee. That proves nothing about having a loyal following by such measures.
He wants our love and trust. Our faith in Him expresses our affection, need, and allegiance to Him.
But it was all arranged to lift up the lowly and put down the proud of heart. He shows us that it is our heart that matters not our status.
