I thought I’d have a little fun and do something way out of the box, and completely different. What if God’s creatures could be interviewed? – Of course, loving animals as I do, this intrigued me and made my heart smile at the endless possibilities of this unique approach. Besides – I guarantee God knows what they’re saying at all times. After all – He created them all. Each and every beautiful creature in the expanse of this great Universe. So, let’s have some fun, while bringing the word forward! Hope you find it enjoyable. First up will be from my own precious darling baby boy – Mickey my adorable, irascible loving little Morkie!
God Bless You All
CD: Mickey, my faithful furry loving baby boy, and shadow companion, if you could speak, what would you say to me?
MICKEY: Oh, Mom I already bark with joy and wag my tail endlessly – which is a form of communicating as you know! You truly care for me with such love, and I feel like the most blessed of God’s creations. You always do the right thing, allow me to sleep with you and Daddy at night in our big bed. And you even give me home cooked meals. All my favorites too! I am the luckiest Morkie and creature in the whole world! I love you, Mom! “A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.” (Proverbs 12:10)
CD: Awww – thank you my precious little Mickey. Tell me, how does God’s love inspire you to love and trust me?
MICKEY: God created me with loyalty and affection so I may brighten your days. “Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?” (Job 12:9) Every scratch behind my ears and every meal you prepare shows His hand of care reflected in you. And He picked you and Dad especially for me! Even before I was born!
SPARROW: [Fluttering in gracefully] CD, that’s why I sing every morning to praise the Lord both for His love and for His creation! “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.” (Matthew 10:29)
CD: You remind me how much God values even the smallest of His creatures. How do you feel about His care?
SPARROW: Oh, it humbles and delights me! God sees us, no matter how small. When He guides you to listen to my songs, you remember His beauty in creation. He also takes care of us when we fall to the ground or are sickly. He is good to all things, and for all things.
LAMB: [Gently wandering close] CD, my bleats carry peace and gentleness, a reflection of God’s grace and sacrifice. “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29)
CD: Sweet Precious Lamb, your tender spirit feels so deeply aligned with God’s love for us. How do you see His care through us?
LAMB: You lead me to green pastures and still waters, embodying His loving kindness. “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23:1)
LION: [With regal strength] CD, I roar to remind all of the power and majesty of God! “The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?” (Amos 3:8)
CD: Lion, you symbolize the Lord’s might and His watchful care. A representation of the Judah tribe! What does it mean to be part of His creation?
LION: Strength and protection come through Him. As you honor His creatures, you honor His Divine strength. And we are honored to be created by such wondrous hands and love.
POOKIE: [Lingering by the door with cautious eyes] – I am a wanderer of the world, yet I find solace at doorsteps. Through me, God shows His mercy and provision for all His creatures. “The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.” (Psalm 34:10)
CD: Pookie, even in your independence, you remind me of how God provides for those in need. How do you feel His care?
POOKIE: When I find a meal and a safe place to rest, I sense His hand at work through others kindness. Though the world may be wild, His care follows me wherever I roam. And currently I am being cared for by a loving woman named Cora. “He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.” (Psalm 147:9)
MICKEY: [Trotting in happily again and jumping into my lap-one of his favorite spots!] Mom, may I add one more thing? I’m ever grateful for your love and care—it reminds me of how God feeds and shelters even the birds of the air and lilies of the field. “Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.” (Psalm 72:18)
CD: Thank you, baby boy, for that wonderful example of God’s love and mercy. I think we all have said what we needed to say – Thank you all for speaking with me and realizing how amazing God is. And how special His love is for ALL of us. How about we all close with a prayer then?
“Lord, thank You for the joy and companionship of Your creatures. You teach us love, care, and stewardship through these gifts. Help us honor Your creation with grace and faithfulness. May we remember Your unending love for every sparrow, lamb, lion, adorable cat, beloved dog and all the rest big and small—and for us, Your human children. Amen.”
Hope you had fun reading this. The interview was of course “contrived.” However, let’s be clear -the sentiments, of the LORD and His Word and mercy are genuine, truth and never ending, forever and always!
To that I say – “Thank You LORD for Your Creatures, love and mercy! Amen!”
Thank you for this imaginative, creative, “contrived” piece. God does love and care for all of His creatures. Although I am probably not as much of an animal lover as you, this article gives me pause to think of God’s care for all the animal life around us. We have two “chaweeny” dogs, each with a very different personality. It has been fun to imagine what they are saying with their different ways of getting attention.
Hi Dale,
Thank for your comment! Two “chaweeny” dogs They sound adorable. Yesh, you know when I wrote this, I was also thinking about God making the Donkey speak in the Bible – it was enlightening moment in that verse, and so it is – the God knows all our thoughts – even those of animals. He is after all the Creator.
Love your input Dale!
Have a blessed day~
In a world that ‘the love for money’ matters more than life, whether for the human beings in the womb being fashioned by God to the creatures that struggle to find food and rest from their trials to stay alive, God cares for His creation and can use us to be His agent to accomplish the needs out there.
I say this from the start because the greed of many affects everyone no matter what side of the issue you identify with.
The cost of giving is much higher as the price tag increases due to the problem mentioned. It causes much misery and pain. But someday all this will be presented before God’s bar of judgment.
But thanks to all who have a love and respect for all of God’s creation and do what they can to make living in this world better.
Pure love is what makes this world a beautiful existence.
Especially the love we receive from our Savior who freely gave His life for us and continues to give us our daily bread. Amen!
Hello Cora,
Thanks for your comments and your input – so appreciate it. Love is what essentially makes this world a beautiful existence, as Jesus said and so many verses in the Bible itself. Those who love are filled with the love of God, and He is in them. Those who cannot love, do not have the love of God in them. I pray for those to “awaken” from the sad existence that is vain and filled with darkness. But for those (and there are many) who are truly altruistic in the sense of God and His love, and offer it through their careers, or their voluntary time, and in everyday avenues of life – I feel confident that there is always hope in humanity, as long as God’s light shines onto those who “do love.”
Thank you again Cora – miss your comments. Wish you’d visit more often.
Have a blessed day~
