Held Up High With Hope & Faith In You

Isaiah 40:31  But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Some people are waiting this very moment for answers concerning a variety of things. There may be people about to undergo a medical test to rule out a what might be a “terminal” diagnosis. Some are waiting for a return call for a job they interviewed for in hopes of finally being employed. Even more are waiting for answers to their financial woes, and how they might keep their heads above the bills they’re swimming in. Others perhaps are in a new place in their journey in this thing called “life” and are struggling with the newness and unfamiliar waters they find themselves in at this particular juncture. Whatever the case may be, there is only One that can turn it all around. Yes, God and God alone, the only Being that is there to help.

Isaiah 41:10  Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

When God speaks from His Word that we read, we are reinforced with confidence. His Word is powerfully moving and it will usually bring us to an area where we can pause, catch our breath and recognize that what He says doesn’t go unfounded or lacking in fruition. His Word is not returned void it goes where it is supposed to and does what it is supposed to (Isaiah 55:11). The very idea brings joy to my heart knowing that is true! It is His promise to us. And of course, throughout the Bible, the Word He speaks does what He says it is going to do. Take Genesis! As He spoke the Universe was created and all else thereof!

Mark 9:23  Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

But there lies a certain amount of responsibility on us to take our part in all this wonder. We can’t just read with apathy or an obligatory reliance that we MUST. We have to genuinely FEEL and TRUST and KNOW and BELIEVE…and that is called faith. Faith will make all the difference in the world when reading the Word and applying the Word into our lives. Without faith, surely an upheaval of issues will be scattered throughout our lifetime here on earth.

Jeremiah 17:7  Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

I was in a deep conversation with a friend I’ve known since my college days, and that is a long time ago people! Anyhow, she seems to have become somewhat “jaded” in her views of life based on incidents that have occurred along the way, personal and otherwise. Delving a little more intimately during our dialogue, she lost faith due to waiting on God and having no response to her pleas. Very personal issues, that I won’t get into. However, suffice it to say—I believe God has answered her. She has been lackadaisical in her time with God. She hasn’t been in the Word for the longest time. Has lost all interest in Him. And hasn’t the patience to wait any longer. I tried to give her some scriptures, much of what is in this article, about the importance of faith, waiting, and never giving up on God. I feel the LORD wants her to “come home” into His arms again. He misses her and He is waiting. She is now rethinking her situations, and come to realize that perhaps she has been negligent in her “relationship” with God after all. I can’t wait to see how her life will turn around once she gets back into the Word.

Romans 12:12  Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

Never losing hope and waiting on God (Psalm 46:10) is a virtue that is given to us as a gift by God. Think about it. Virtue is a true gift as is patience. And when we do all we are supposed to be doing with obeying God, adhering to His Word, and reinforcing our Christianity through our actions, faith and hope, we will be justly rewarded and completely fulfilled.

It isn’t an easy avenue to drive down upon when you’re struggling with health issues, financial woes, deficits in circumstances that seem to be suffocating and taking your breath away… but God makes it so you will come out the other side relatively unscathed, and impervious to the scenarios you’ve faced and addressed…with Him in your corner!

Are you waiting on something from the LORD?  Have you lost your zest? Are you tired of the messy situations that surround you on a daily basis? Or are you perfectly content? No matter the issue, good or bad—waiting, trusting, praying, meditating, hoping and believing in the LORD will bring about enormous peace and balance to the “good and bad” days in your life!

“Father, thank You for Your indelible and penetrating Word, may it be a constant source of comfort to my heart and soul, may I never lose sight of Your Omnipotence and Power, and may I never lose hope in You or Your amazing love, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
