Our Hope: Remember

‘Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know,’ says the Lord.  Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)

Says the Lord.  That says it all, doesn’t it?  Or maybe you have questions about that.  Do you really believe that One as great as the Lord God Jehovah actually, really and truly hears your prayers?  Do you think He listens to other people’s prayers, but will not do the same for you?  Remember…

‘Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear,’ says the Lord.  Isaiah 65:24 (NIV)

The Lord has made promises to His people.  Who are His people?  Well, they are you and me, if we are saved.  Once we receive our salvation, we belong lock, stock, and barrel to Him.  No one else can have us.  satan may try, and though he might mess our day up, or cause us innumerable crises, he really has no rights to us, and cannot hold us.  We are the  Bride of Christ.  He will forever remember that He is our God.   Remember…

‘I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD.  They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart.’  Jeremiah 24:6 (NIV)

There are many scripture references to the covenants of God.  He made covenant with Noah, and with Abraham, and again with Moses.  David received His covenant, and there is a covenant regarding Jesus.  In each and every one, we are His people, and He is our God.   Remember…

‘My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.  I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand.  My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand.  I and the Father are one.’  John 10:38 (NIV)

Do you remember when you knew His name?  I mean, really knew it?  It was at that point in time that He remembered all His promises to you.  When you became His child, He renewed His covenant with you.  We are all covered under His covenant.  Because of it, and because of His nature, He will always hear our prayers, our cries, and our praises.  Remember…

Jesus said, ‘Ask and it will  be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.’  Matthew 7:7 (NIV)

God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit…remember.  The Divine Trinity, the Godhead, is committed to you.  God gave Jesus, His only Son.  Jesus sent The Holy Spirit, the Comforter, to us, to minister to and through us when Jesus returned to the Father.  Always remember this:  Jesus is Our Hope, the Hope of the world.  He loves us, He keeps us, and He will one day be with us in heaven, eternally.  Forever and ever.  Forevermore.  Believe, learn, and remember.  He is our God, and we are His people.
