Every person has a sandy shore,
each reflecting Christ and sometimes more.
We reflect Him as we go with His flow,
without being pressured under the tow.
The undertow of this world is temptation,
trying to get us to yield to frustrations.
Frustrations that will leave our faith beached,
keeping our walk with Christ out of reach.
When under pressure and yielded to Jesus,
the world’s perception will not receive us.
The world thinks that if more pressure is applied,
that we will lose faith and our spirits will die.
Instead, they see it applied in their lives,
which begins to reveal their flawless pride.
Pride that becomes rooted in the devil, himself,
not thinking that this life will lead them to hell.
Instead of submitting to worldly pleasures,
Jesus desires to shape us into treasures.
Treasures He has seen in us for many years,
and with the right pressure it becomes clear.
Clear as the glass refined by the sand,
shined up and purified by The Master’s hands.
Using the grains of the sands fine texture,
He creates more layers of His character.
With each layer the “glass” becomes stronger
and we can withstand more pressure longer.
Till at last when the world looks at us,
Jesus, alone, we know we can trust.
Oh, that the unsaved would see,
Christ died and rose to set us all free!
Matthew 7:26 -27 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
