Are You Listening?

You can hear Him, if you listen,
while the morning dew is glistening.

“Be still,” He gently whispers to us,
as He’s drawing us closer to Jesus.

Some time from your busy day,
seems to always be 24 hours away.

Yet we tend to briskly walk out each minute,
knowing we need to take the time to listen.

Listening throughout every day,
makes a difference either way.

Getting caught up in all the different things,
we sometimes create a mirage without wings!

Wishing our problems would just go away,
but instead, they just seem to ruin our day!

If we would just take the time to see,
how listening to Him sets our spirit free!

He so desires, to put a spring in our step,
sharing with us His insights to what we dread.

His thoughts are much different than our own,
for He sees us each different and whole.

The world has this false sense of security,
given to them by their own impurities.

The Word of God quickly makes no mistakes,
and wastes no time showing us a quick escape.

It reveals to us how to quickly resolve,
anything we will go through, as it evolves.

Listening to our Lord, plays a significant role,
and if we ignore Him our lives take a toll.

Oftentimes doing things our way makes things worse,
but listening to His still voice can be heard in His Word.

Have you taken the time to listen to the Holy Spirit?
His Word is truly clear and direct showing us how to live it.

Living the life, He has graciously birthed us with,
if we’ll just learn to be still and listen to Him.

I Samuel 3:10 And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.

In August of 2022, she became a Poetry author (Living Poems: From the Father's Heart - Inspirational Poems). She also enjoys sharing God's heart through freelance writing, as well. She is also a member of Faithwriters.com. Linda still enjoys the companionship of two pets, Tina (Chihuahua) and Miss Kitty (Tabby). Their grandson (18) plans on finishing high school next year. Linda hopes to put another book together, as the Lord leads, and is hoping to pursue her interests in writing a memoir. Her writings are concentrated on hearing the heart of God, by encouraging other believers and revealing God's heart to all.
