Dying To Endure

The pain we’ve never felt before,
is nothing close to what You bore.

Not even a taste of what You had,
and for that we’re eternally glad.

We’re thankful for Your mercy and grace,
that You took all our sin in our place.

A taste of freedom rest assured,
through Jesus’ blood, oh so pure.

Jesus, what You carried to the cross,
wasn’t even close to what we thought.

Thinking daily what we’ve endured,
wasn’t enough to thwart the cure.

The cure that will open our eyes,
much to the world’s surprise.

As Your believers, we know we’re in the Last Days,
and what has already transpired is only a taste.

A taste of what is about to come,
which will show the world what they have done.

They’ve turned their backs on Your Saving Grace,
trying to prove they can set their own pace.

Instead of seeking God’s wisdom first,
they chose to seek their own human worth.

Many people in this world today,
don’t see You as the True Way.

Pride and all that goes with it,
needs to be fully submitted.

Submitted to You, Lord, the giver of life,
who loves us enough to free us from strife.

The strife that has held this world in bondage,
was nailed to a cross resembling human carnage.

All that will accept this divine gift,
will cause their whole life to shift.

As true believers we can daily walk in victory,
knowing that in You, only, can it be achieved.

Dying to ourselves is truly the key,
to reigning with Jesus eternally!

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

She is also a member of Faithwriters.com. Linda still enjoys the companionship of two pets, Tina (Chihuahua) and Miss Kitty (Tabby). Their grandson (18) plans on finishing high school next year. Linda hopes to put another book together, as the Lord leads, and is hoping to pursue her interests in writing a memoir. Her writings are concentrated on hearing the heart of God, by encouraging other believers and revealing God's heart to all.
