A Faithful Soldier in Christ

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.  – 2 Timothy 2:3

With armor bright and banner raised,
I tread the path by Christ appraised.
A soldier’s heart beats true and strong,
Proclaiming faith through sacred song.

Though trials come and tempests roar,
I hold my ground on mercy’s shore.
No fear shall shake my steadfast soul,
For Christ’s command has made me whole.

His Word, my sword, cuts through despair,
The shield of faith guards burdens bare.
Through darkest nights, His light will guide,
My trust in Him shall never slide.

No worldly lure, no fleeting gain,
Could sever Christ’s eternal reign.
The treasures stored in Heaven’s height,
Are worth the cost of every fight.

When arrows strike and doubts assail,
The truth of God shall not prevail.
soldier’s cry: “My Lord, my King!”
hall pierce the air with steadfast ring.

Through valleys low and mountains steep,
The faithful walk where angels weep.
No chains can bind, no grief confine,
The joy of Christ’s redeeming line.

His banner waves, His love surrounds,
My weary heart in grace abounds.
Each step I take, each battle fought,
Reflects the life His death has bought.

A Christian Soldier’s Prayer

“Dear Mighty Lord, in battles fierce and deep, Grant me courage, even as I weep. Teach my soul to trust Your righteous way And follow You through night and day. Strengthen my hands to hold the sword, keep my steps on the path restored. Let my life be a light divine, that shows the world Your holy design. In Jesus name, Amen.”
