Honor is always out-of-season for a fool. He will seek it! He will even demand it, but like desiring snow in the summer-time, what he seeks will never come to him. His high opinion of himself and his self-righteous cause is never shared by others. He is neither deserving of any honor and would not know what to do with honor if it was given him.
— (Proverbs 26:1-3)
Even a child of God sometimes can be a fool!
Small birds are made to wander. They fly where they please. So does the fool! He never lights in one place and stays put. All his causes are “causeless.” His cause is a lie he speaks or puts upon others. Often it is the innocent ones, our children, that suffer most from a fool’s cause. The words spoken from the fool’s lips and his causeless existence, unless changed, hurt all those around him. All men are born causeless. They heap their causeless curse upon the unsuspecting and those close to them. What they try so hard to accomplish, never has it’s intended results.
A natural born fool must be dealt with according to the wild sinful nature he was born with. The rod is the only way God can deal with a fool. For the child of God who acts foolish, God’s staff of comfort will always follow. A bridle must be used to then rule him. It it used to direct his path.
Though God might change the fool’s heart allowing His Son then to rule him, the consequences of a fool’s repented course still remain. The damage done by a foolish heart doesn’t go away with one’s sin once it is repented of. The fool’s sin may be cast into the deepest part of the ocean, but the affects of sin’s course still must be dealt with.
When a fool has, by grace, been made to see the folly of vanity’s pursuit—Christ is the only cure “God’s Best…For All That Is Left!”
God’s Best…For All That Is Left
Have you ever just really been a fool?
Boldly proclaiming the truth as one—Oh, so cool!
The truth without love was spewed forth.
All that was left,
Was something really really cruel!
Suddenly you realize,
With a spirit now found to be so poor.
The carnage you have left behind.
You don’t have the cure!
You felt you were oh so righteous,
Feeling you were oh so humble and pious.
Your heart got filled with pride.
Without thinking.
Without meaning.
A cruel hurt you then applied.
With your disguise now removed.
You feel like,
Well, like a part of you just died!
They say you hurt the ones you love.
Far and above,
It’s a battle of our wills.
Our’s and Christ’s!
Love shouldn’t hurt, learned Jacob.
One should only hurt for the one Love loves!
True love isn’t filled with pride.
It was shown to us so perfectly,
On that day that Jesus died.
God does forgive
And God does forget.
But the hurt we cause,
It hasn’t left.
Time doesn’t heal and wounds don’t die.
That my friends, is a grand ‘ole lie!
We plead for their peace and rest.
God forgiving us upon our repentance,
Is all that is left!
You played the fool.
Your best was oh, so cruel.
Your best was filthy rags.
We need much much more.
We need God’s best.
His mercy will find us blessed.
For us and them,
Christ is the only cure.
God’s best…for all that is left!
