God’s Forgiving Favor

Father, God I pray this day,
that Your favor would come this way.

Our country has drifted away from You,
thinking that they knew what to do.

They’re not as fond of You as before,
for they’ve turned as if to ignore.

Hearts of love towards one another,
have turned into brother against brother.

The followers of Your Son, Jesus Christ,
daily see changes in once hardened lives!

We know that Your mercy and grace,
oftentimes is pushed into being replaced.

Replaced with deception and lies,
causing some churches to be unwise.

Truth be told, our focus has wandered,
being replaced with what we can squander.

A lot of our prayers are not from the heart,
this is evident right from the start.

From the start of our drifting souls,
that are not believing that we’re in control.

Has the church lost its focus for You, my Lord?
The world we live in perceives You as torn.

Torn between the good and evil seen every day,
and believing Your favor doesn’t work their way.

What is misunderstood by many unbelievers,
is even in the church, having many deceivers.

The truth that reflects who You are,
shows Your love from the very start.

Just as You enjoyed fellowship with others,
forgiveness was given beyond our brothers.

We can daily experience this same forgiveness,
in showing others the light, You shine within us.

Not just on Sundays at our local church,
but throughout each day that Jesus is first.

We should be willing to sit at any table,
and experience His forgiveness, knowing He is able!

The table that the truth from Your Word abounds,
but the enemy is using others to push us around.

Although, we know as children of God,
the enemy’s work is just a facade’.

Bring us back to the table from Your heart,
where forgiveness for all will never depart.

Micah 7:18Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

Saddened by your husband’s passing. The Lord gave you a good number of years together but that was just the beginning as eternity is awaiting your reunion.
