Heaven’s Eternal Light: True and faithful
The seals are broken, the scrolls unfurled,
Judgment descends upon the world.
The faithful stand, their hearts steadfast,
For they know His kingdom shall come at last.
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth,” so bright,
“For the first heaven and the first earth were passed away,” in light.
“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,” descend,
From God out of heaven, where our sorrows end.
No more tears, no more pain,
In the city where the Lamb shall reign.
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes,”
In the New Jerusalem, beneath the heavenly skies.
The streets of gold, the gates of pearl,
In this holy city, our hearts unfurl.
“And the city had no need of the sun,” so grand,
“For the glory of God did lighten it,” by His hand.
“And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light,
” In the presence of the Lamb, forever bright.
“And there shall be no more curse,”
no more strife, For we shall live in eternal life.
Until that day, we have a task,
To spread His word, in love we bask.
To be His hands, His feet, His voice,
To share His grace, in Him rejoice.
“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new,”
In the New Jerusalem, where skies are blue.
“And he said unto me, write: for these words are true and faithful,”
In His promise, we are ever grateful.
So let us labor, with hearts so pure,
For His kingdom, forever sure.
In the New Jerusalem, we’ll find our rest,
In the arms of Jesus, forever blessed.
Revelation 21:1-4 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Prayer
“Dear LORD, as we journey through this life, we ask for Your guidance and strength. Help us to do all things according to Your will and purpose. May our actions reflect Your love and grace, and may we be instruments of Your peace and light in this world. Grant us the wisdom to discern Your path and the courage to follow it faithfully. Let our lives be a testament to Your goodness and mercy, and may we bring glory to Your name in all that we do. Until the day we are called home to eternal bliss, keep us steadfast in our faith and unwavering in our commitment to You. We look forward with joyful anticipation to the day when we shall see You face to face and dwell in Your glorious Presence forever. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.”
