His Great Compassion

Emotions of all sorts ran high that day
because His death would be on display.

Many had not seen the love Jesus had inside,
when on the cross He died to give us life.

When His death was displayed for all to see,
many didn’t understand nor did they perceive.

The great compassion contained within
was intended to bring us closer to Him.

His love for us was like no other kind,
which endured through His demise.

The love in His heart for you and I,
could be seen in His kind eyes.

Jesus’ kindness can be seen in each believer,
opposite from the heart of the deceiver.

His very nature in our everyday lives,
take the place of what was once strife.

Yes, our Savior and Lord, years ago,
never gave in to the devil, our evil foe.

The phileo love for one another is hard to find,
when the people in the world are so unkind.

The love shown by Jesus’ nail-scarred hands,
can be found in believers across this land.

It can be displayed in so many ways,
portraying each one clearly as day.

Phileo (brotherly) love can and will be shown,
when to other’s hearts it is unknown.

If they’re living a life that’s displeasing to God,
do not let them fool you with a phony facade.

However, the compassion in His eyes runs so deep,
that it will cause pride to fall prostrate before His feet!

What is the depth of compassion you have for others?
Is it the kind that is forgiving to your sisters and brothers?

Philippians 2:3-4 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

1 John 3:17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
