Sending Your Son, with intentional love,
You forgave us, with a gift from above.
Oh, that others would understand Your ways,
when You sent Jesus to save us that day.
So many times, we have lied to ourselves,
in painting a picture of someone else.
Our Heavenly Father knows who we are
and every thought we continue to spar.
Persecution may come and go our way,
but our walk with Him is within each day.
Jesus is with us wherever we go,
even when tugged on by life’s undertow.
We seek refuge within His sweet embrace,
knowing He will keep us from Satan’s rake.
Within Your loving arms, we always find
the strength and peace needed each given time.
Jesus, You’re not just our Savior and Lord,
but our friend and confidant evermore.
Without You, our spirits are null and void,
lifeless beings, lacking Your great joy.
God, our Abba Father, to You we give honor,
for Your glory exceeds Your great valor.
The glory that’s seen all over this world,
as we watch the enemy’s plan unfurl.
You equip Your children through all their woes,
knowing the return of Jesus is close.
Closer than we have ever seen before,
but as we wait, there is so much more.
As His children, we can express His heart,
teaching others how from sin to depart.
I John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
I John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
Elegantly and lovingly stated Linda, as always.
Beautiful sentiment and message.
God Bless you Merry Christmas
Even though we smell of decay because we want things our way
Jesus left His throne, so He could make us His own.
Oh, the beauty of this King to give Himself the required offering.
Else we would be lost, He allowed His body to be nailed to a cross.
He suffered through the shame so lost souls could gain,
a place in His kingdom where we shall give homage forever to our Savior’s name
What wonderous love was His to come for you and me, so we can know our destiny for eternity.
Let all the earth at this season celebrate His birth.
And give Him due praise that in His eyes He saw our worth.
